OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR

From the beginning, I have always been committed to mitigating the environmental footprint of the event industry, starting 13 years ago with my roots as a vegetable turned flower grower for the first 8 years of my professional career. It has been a long and hard journey full of experimentation and mistakes but I finally completely removed foam from our production process in 2020! I've spent the last four years beta testing and improving our systems to effortlessly incorporate low waste practices into high volume and luxury event floral production. In staying true to our mission, we've more than doubled our gross revenue while simultaneously reducing our landfill contributions by over 80%! Our average size event produces 250 gallons of compost and only 80 gallons of landfill waste (entirely from floral packaging during flower processing)! And our journey isn’t over! If we can push our clients more toward designs with local blooms, demand better shipping systems (like Procona!) and more transparency from our global distributors, the possibilities are endless! I’m absolutely thrilled that you’re here to explore this process and implement our strategies that we have tested and proven with success!

DIRECTOR OF OPPERATIONS/LEAD DESIGNER

People often say to florists, “Oh, you get to play with flowers all day!” But for me, what drew me into the floral world—and what fuels my enduring passion—goes far beyond just arranging blooms. It’s the emotions, memories, and lasting meaning that flowers evoke, not only on the day of the event but for years to come.

What I love most is the alchemy of our work: blending creative vision, thoughtful problem-solving, sustainable practices, and meaningful connections with clients, planners, and farmers. To me, every event and arrangement—down to the smallest detail—is a delicate balance of artistry and intention.

When I'm not getting my hands dirty in Maine’s soil, you’ll find me exploring antique shops along the coast, savoring meals at local restaurants, or experimenting with new recipes to share with friends and family.

IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY

Going foam-free wasn’t a simple switch—it meant rethinking everything from the ground up. There were countless failed mechanics, unstable designs, and long nights spent testing what would actually hold, hydrate, and transport well. Every solution came through trial and error, pushing past frustration to find methods that were both sustainable and reliable. It took experimentation, creativity, and persistence to develop systems that truly work in real event conditions.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT

We faced countless failures along the way—mechanics that collapsed, designs that didn’t hold, and systems that simply didn’t work under real event pressure. There were moments it felt easier to give up than keep experimenting. But deep down, we knew there had to be a better way, and that belief kept us pushing forward until we finally found solutions that worked.

THINGS STARTED TO CLICK

We finally tapped into a system that truly worked—refining mechanics, streamlining processes, and putting it all to the test throughout our 2023 event season. Event after event, it proved reliable, efficient, and profitable, giving us the confidence we had been searching for. Now, instead of keeping that hard-earned knowledge to ourselves, we’re sharing it so you don’t have to go through the same trial and error to get there.

THEN I CREATED A REPEATABLE SYSTEM THAT I NOW TEACH TO OTHER FLORISTS

Our team turned all of that trial and error into something clear, reliable, and scalable. What once felt unpredictable became a step-by-step system I could trust for every event. Now, I teach that same process to others so they can skip the frustration, save time, and confidently create foam-free work that actually holds up.
